The Musings of Ivan Rados
by Pat Antoniak
Mr. Rados is an internationally known artist who now uses his art in his work as an energy healer and spiritual guide. He resides in Vancouver and helps others heal through understanding and connection to the power of Infinite Consciousness. In his book, Transforming Your Life Through Sacred Geometry , he discusses many aspects of the human experience. One that piqued my interest was his note on Embracing Life's Uncertainties . Given that many of us are experiencing changes right now, I thought his perspective might be useful at this time. Here are some excerpts from his book.
"Our mind creates the problems we experience by craving security and therefore recoiling from change . Insecurity generates anxiety and tension only because the mind wants to control everything and can't.
There is no such thing as security, no way we can predict anything, because existence isn't a mechanical process . If life were certain, there would be no freedom, no possibility of progress. Such a life would be dull, stagnant, boring - a non-life. Existence doesn't worry about certainty but is always fresh and alive.
Because life is full of surprises, it's one big insecurity . In response, we can adapt the attitude of a warrior or the attitude of a lover. We are free to choose which attitude we will embrace.
The attitude of warrior is the path of fighting with existence , which means attempting to find and maintain a false sense of security through money, power, possessions and control. On the path of a warrior, we close our One Self off from life.
The path of the lover is about participating in life . It's the choice of opening our One Self and being sensitive. Love is always fresh and alive. In love, we are already home and hence know real security in the face of insecurity.
The warrior is our mind. The lover is our heart. ......
Our task is to embrace the challenges of life , allowing our awareness to keep expanding, always knowing that everything is just the way it needs to be. Infinite Consciousness doesn't make mistakes. Everything is perfect. When we allow this truth to be our security, we welcome all of life's uncertainties."
Food for thought, in these "changing" times!
